Introduction About RMA
Founded in 1997, the Rwanda Medical Association (RMA) has grown to become the largest and oldest medical association representing all doctors in Rwanda. Officially registered as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), the association was established by doctors for doctors, with the primary goal of advancing the medical profession and improving healthcare systems in the country. Since its inception, RMA has been instrumental in the creation of over 10 specialized medical associations within Rwanda. Over the years, the association has not only contributed to building a strong and resilient healthcare system within the country but has also expanded its influence beyond Rwanda’s borders, becoming a key player in the global medical community.
This report presents an overview of RMA’s activities, collaborations, milestones, and future directions, in line with its vision and mission of promoting professional excellence and high ethical standards in the medical field.
